Delhi Capitals (DC) concluded their campaign with a win against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Delhi Capitals helped Rajasthan Royals (RR) to qualify automatically for playoffs and they became the second team after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Aakash Chopra feels Delhi Capitals helped Southern teams
After a thriller win against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Delhi Capitals concluded their campaign on a happy note. Ace commentator and former Indian batter Aakash Chopra feels that Delhi Capitals have done a charity job to the southern teams and helped them to stay alive in the tournament. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are still in the race so from three any two will be qualified and it intrigues the fans who will qualify for playoffs.
“Lucknow – it seems like it was a good balloon but someone pricked it with a pin. Delhi won the game and Delhi has helped all the southern teams, whether it’s SRH, RCB, or CSK because LSG cannot reach 16 points now,” he said.
Later he also said that Delhi Capitals won’t be qualified though they are keeping hope.
“Delhi’s journey for all practical purposes is done and dusted. They didn’t get the cup this year but they got Pant. That was a good thing but the season – so near, yet so far. Lucknow has crash landed in the last two games,” Chopra added.
