The situation involving Mumbai Indians, captain Hardik Pandya, and his predecessor Rohit Sharma may be past its worst phase, but it still leaves a lot of questions unanswered. The former Australian batter, Aaron Finch, stepped up and requested that Rohit Sharma back his fellow team member. For some reason, the people in charge are unable to remove Rohit from the captaincy and name Hardik in his place.

Hardik Pandya was jeered and booed during both home and away matches, to the extent that Sanjay Manjrekar’s intervention was required when he asked the Wankhede crowd to ‘behave’. In between, a couple of instances captured Rohit Sharma urging the public to stop the booing, but it had little effect as the dissent continued. Since these conditions have become a contributing factor in the decline of Mumbai Indians despite his best efforts,

For some reason, a lot of people think these things are being questioned, and they want to know the reasons behind what was happening at the time. For what reason specifically was Rohit stripped of the MI captaincy? Why did it not receive any recognition? Did MI’s failed IPL 2024 campaign stem from it? Or did the team members just not get along with Hardik as their new captain? There is a chance that these queries will be answered.

Aaron Finch questions Rohit Sharma on not saying anything yet for Hardik Pandya

Former Australian batsman Aaron Finch, who is speaking for Hardik Pandya, is concerned about this pairing because they will soon play for Team India in the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2024. Now, Rohit Sharma needs to step up as a sportsman and break his silence on Hardik Pandya. The crowd continuously jeered Hardik during the eight games, which caused Rohit to voice his concerns in public and say he should stand up for him because the score would eventually turn when they all played together on a major stage.

“Just the one thing that I would have loved to have seen from Rohit throughout the IPL campaign is to make some kind of public statement because the resentment towards Hardik from the public has been unbelievable and getting worse. And it’s changed to cheers when he walks out since the World Cup squad has been announced,” said Aaron Finch

“But for eight games, Hardik was getting booed during a Mumbai Indians game. So I would have loved to see Rohit come out and say something publicly. Say, ‘No, this is part of the plan for Mumbai Indians, and Hardik’s got my full support. Just think that would have put things a lot more quickly,” he added.
