The Kolkata Knight Riders set a 170-run target for the Mumbai Indians on Friday. The five-time champions Mumbai were defeated by 24 runs thanks to Kolkata’s cohesive bowling attack. In this loss, former Indian batter Akash Chopra has raised concerns about Rohit Sharma, who will soon in 40 days captain India in the T20 World Cup 2024. Rohit Sharma has four consecutive games where he cannot contribute as much.

MI is all but out of the playoff race this season after their latest defeat to KKR. MI’s downfall this season has been attributed to a lack of runs from Rohit Sharma’s bat, the middle order’s form, and poor captaincy from Hardik Pandya. The five-time champions are in ninth place on the 10-team table, having won only three of their 11 T20 matches.

This IPL for only Rohit Sharma has not yet been so special again from the beginning he was removed as captain and his form is also not being much enjoyed by the crowd in his 11 matches in the tournament he only scored 326 runs with an average of 32.6 and only score a single 100 this season.

Sunil Narine Dismissed Indian Captain Rohit Sharma Said Aakash Chopra

The former Indian batter Aakash Chopra, while talking on YouTube, has shown his concerns for Rohit’s performance as he referred to him as the Indian captain. This shows Aakash Chopra is not happy with four consecutive innings in which he failed to score runs, and Sunil Narine again took Rohit’s wicket with his great presence of mind.

“Then Shreyas Iyer brought Varun Chakaravarthy within the powerplay and Naman Dhir was dismissed. He is a good player but a bad shot at that point in time. Sunil Narine dismissed the Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Fourth consecutive innings in which he hasn’t scored runs,”  said Aakash Chopra
