IPL 2024 trade window has started and there is a massive possibility that Hardik Pandya would be traded to MI and in return Rohit Sharma would be traded to GT. There has been no official confirmation from MI & GT but this possibility can’t be ruled out as Hardik Pandya has shown his tactics which were top notch in the last 2 seasons 2022 & 2023.
IPL 2024 is expected to be a crucial season for Rohit who would be keen to make a statement that he is not done yet in the shortest format. Rohit Sharma fans would be hoping that the star batter doesn’t leave the MI franchise as he is the only skipper who has won all the 5 trophies.
The GT franchise rose to limelight as winning the championship in 2022 edition was quite a phenomenal achievement and not to forget the 2023 edition which was quite a memorable one where the side reached the final. Will Hardik Pandya be made Mumbai’s captain?- Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Aakash Chopra was quite sure that Hardik Pandya would lead MI if he returns back to his former team as according to some sources, it is believed that Hardik would be back at the helm for MI. It would be interesting to see whether GT would let go Hardik who had a brilliant 2 season with them.
“A rumor is doing the rounds that Hardik is moving towards Mumbai. It has been heard, no confirmation has come. If he is leaving, firstly Gujarat are releasing him – won once and reached the final once. If he is leaving, will he be made Mumbai’s captain? Why would you go if you are not being made the captain,?” said Aakash Chopra.
“I have not heard the end or the start of this story properly. So I am waiting and watching that what happens there because it seems like something will happen. There is no smoke without fire and there is smoke for sure that Hardik is going. However, will Rohit Sharma go to GT? Is that a possibility – I don’t know,” he added.
