Rinku Singh smashed a barnstorming knock of 68 runs in 39 balls and struck 9 fours and 2 sixes and was striking the ball cleanly. The batter didn’t panic even when the side lost 3 wickets inside powerplay overs.
Rinku Singh is making a strong case for himself for T20 WC 2024. The Ajit Agarkar led selection panel would be aware of the fact that there aren’t much T20Is left before the marquee T20 WC 2024. Rinku Singh in a short span of time has converted his domestic and IPL form into international arena that too quite easily.
Rinku Singh deserves praise- Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Aakash Chopra wants Rinku Singh to be a part of T20 WC 2024 after his blistering knock against South Africa in the 2nd T20I match. Aakash Chopra was quite impressed with the wide range of shot selection of Rinku Singh and said that he stays very stable.
“Keep investing in Rinku Singh. He is now a part of the ODI squad as well. Whoever comes or goes, please stay with Rinku for the World Cup. Take him carefully along with you because he has scored runs whenever and wherever he has played,” said Aakash Chopra.
“Rinku Singh deserves praise. He struck his first T20I half-century. India were once again struggling slightly when he came to bat. To be fair, it has happened twice or thrice in the last series that he got to bat around the eighth to eleventh overs, and it happened this time as well,” he stated.
“The way he played, he hit seven fours behind the wickets, behind point and square leg. He stays very stable and expects the bowler to err in line, that he would play behind point if he gets the ball outside off-stump and try to turn his body and hit a four to fine leg if the ball is directed at his body,” he added.
