What a victory for India against the arch-rivals Pakistan’s absolute dominance both with the bat and ball it’s all started by the openers. Kuldeep Yadav spurned a web across the batters. Kuldeep Yadav‘s variations were quite tough to pick for the Pakistani batters.

Then Virat Kohli and KL Rahul decimate the bowling attack of Pakistan Of course no Haris Rauf and finally Kuldeep spins through Pakistan’s batting order with a five-wicket haul as India won by 228 runs in a two-day context.

ATTACKING START BY THE INDIAN OPENERS.

What a start by the Indian openers after being put in to bat first by Pakistan. Both Gill and Rohit took the attack to the Pakistan fast bowlers as skipper Rohit Sharma got off the mark with a six. It’s a loose delivery from Shaheen he flicked it over deep square for a maximum.

Shubman Gill too has played some lovely shots today but luck has also gone in his favour. In the Naseem Shah’s fourth over Gill tried to cut a wide delivery outside the off-stump. The ball took the outside edge and flew in between the slips. Both the slips ended up ball-watching instead of going for the catch. It is a lucky break for Gill

Apart from Naseem Shah all other fast bowlers look clueless, especially Haris Rauf as Rohit showed no respect to him whatsoever. He played shots with brute power in Rauf’s first over as the duo completed a century stand.

Both Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are back in the hut in the space of 10 minutes. After playing a traffic innings in successive overs Rohit Sharma tried to take on Shadab immediately after the drinks break when he chipped the ball to long-off. Faheem took a brilliant running catch as Rohit timed the ball too well. Goes for a well-made 56 off 49 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Shaheen from the other end was brought back into attack and Gill was beaten for a slower one when he tried to drive the ball and instead chipped it straight to the mid-wicket fielder. The momentum is back with Pakistan now.

Rain’s stopped Play is pouring down here in Colombo and when the fans started to think rain had stopped after 3 inspections by the umpires rain has returned and we are heading for a reserve day.

KOHLI, RAHUL’S DOUBLE-CENTURY STAND TAKES INDIA TO 356.

What an innings from the overnight duo of Kohli and kl Rahul as the duo completed the individual century along with the record-breaking partnership of 233 and carried their bat.

Virat Kohli also completed  13000 runs in the process of getting to his 47th one-day international. It’s a fantastic comeback from Kl Rahul as he returned in style and showed why he is the best. An innings to remember especially batting with Virat Kohli.

Kl Rahul shows his class at no 4. Looks fluid today, and is running well, hitting it from the middle of the bat. He took the attack to the spinners as he Shadab Khan with a first-ball four and then hit a majestic SIX! Rahul uses his feet against the leg-spinner and makes the most of his bottom hand.

Virat also did his role as he took the attack on Iftikhar Ahmed and swept him away for a six. It seems like a good strategy from India as they try to accumulate as many runs as possible. After all, the threat persists. The rate is over 6.

Babar was clueless as Haris got injured and Naseem Shah went off in the final over which proved to be costly as kholi smashed 18 runs off the over.

 BOWLERS ON TOP

Indian Bowlers are in a top spell as Bumrah and Siraj bowled and gave nothing away to the Pakistan openers Jasprit Bumrah strikes!! He came round the wicket and forced the southpaw to play at it and the edge goes to second slip! Imam Ul Haq was neither front nor back and was gone at the end.

Hardik Pandya gets a big fish gets one to come back in and goes through the gate! Babar Azam is gone for 10(24). Brilliant delivery from Pandya.

Shardul Thakur strikes after the rain break Rizwan is gone,   brilliant delivery! Nice and full and Rizwan tries to play on the on-side but the leading edge is taken by KL Rahul behind the stumps.

Kuldeep strikes in the very second ball he bowled Rohit can breathe a sigh of relief as Fakhar Zaman is the man to depart. Absolutely cleaned him up with that yorker.

Pakistan lost half of their side Agha Salman is struck plumb in front and Kuldeep makes a loud appeal! Umpire raises the finger Ball tracking shows Umpire’s Call. So it is out because the umpire had given him out.

Fourth wicket for Kuldeep This time it’s a catch and bowled by Kuldeep, who gets out Iftikhar Ahmed for 23 runs.

And finally, Kuldeep Yadav cleans up Faheem! To end with figures of 5Wickets for 25 runs India won by 228 runs.
