The dangerous left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi would be roaring to make a mark against India on 2nd September. Shaheen Afridi along with Naseem Shah will have to be spot-on with their line & length as they can’t afford to take India lightly in the high-octane clash.

The billion people would be delighted as Jasprit Bumrah is fit & available for selection for the tournament. Jasprit Bumrah not only is a death-over specialist but can also inflict a lot of damage with the new ball in hand as the pacer has shown good control over his line & length.

Shaheen Afridi has got a bright future ahead of him- Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram was having an interaction with Fox Cricket and stated that Shaheen Afridi reminds him of Mitchell Starc. Wasim Akram pointed out that Mitchell Starc has improved his batting as well and can play a handy knock for the team which is priceless.

“I will choose Shaheen Shah Afridi over Jasprit Bumrah. Being a left-arm pacer, he reminds me of Starc, both of them bowl early on and they pitch it full and go for the wickets. That is what I like about him. He has got a bright future ahead of him as long as he is clear of serious injuries,” said Wasim Akram.

“He has improved his batting as well at No.9 and No.10, he can come in and whack a couple of sixes. He is a genuine wicket taker and that is why I believe that he is one of the most important members of the team,” he added.

Enthralling contest on Cards

Shaheen Afridi will play a key role with the new ball in hand against India. The likes of Rohit Sharma & Shubman Gill will have to carefully negate the threat of Shaheen Afridi as the pacer in the recent times, has worked on his pace and can rattle the opposition with his immaculate line & length.

There are chances that Hardik Pandya may get promoted up the order in the absence of KL Rahul and at the same time, it is a golden opportunity for Suryakumar Yadav to stamp his authority and make a case for himself ahead of the marquee ODI WC 2023.
