IND vs NZ: Mohammed Shami’s Fifer And Virat Kohli’s 95 Takes India To Victory Over Kiwis

Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja guided India to victory they won by 4 wickets with 11 balls to spare. Daryl Mitchell scored 130  for the Kiwis in vain. Virat Kohli would be dejected after missing out on a well-deserving ton by mere 5 runs against New Zealand

India and New Zealand, the only two undefeated teams left standing in the World Cup thus far, will lock horns against each other in the picturesque HPCA stadium in Dharamsala. India opted to bowl, and Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav added to India’s 11 in the absence of Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur.

Daryll Mitchell scored a brilliant century his fifth overall he finished with 130 off 127 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes to guide the Kiwis to 273 in their 50 overs. Mohammed Shami has made a statement on his comeback and picked 5 vital wickets he finished with the figures of  5 for in his 10 overs.

Siraj was on the money in the first power play bowled tight lines finishing with 1 for 45 in his 10 overs his partner Bumrah bowled brilliantly and finished with the same figures as Siraj. Kuldeep made a strong comeback in his second spell he finished with 2 for 73 in his 10 overs.

India got a terrific start as the skipper hit attacking mode and Gill also did his part India scored  63 runs in the power play. Rohit Sharma departs for a quick-fire 46 off 40 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Fog ensured that the match comes to a halt. The cloud has completely taken over the ground with visibility issues play halt for 10 minutes

Suryakumar Yadav got himself run out. He timed the ball but was stopped by a cover fielder courtesy of a brilliant field and he threw it back immediately to the bowler Surya ran almost 3/4th of the pitch Kohli from the other end ran halfway and suddenly withdrew the run which left Surya in no man’s land he tried to get back but it was too late and got himself run out

Virat Kohli smashes 95 to guide India to victory

The chase master once again proves he is the king of the run chase as Virat Kohli smashes a responsible 95 runs off 104 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. He was supported by Ravindra Jadeja he scored a vital 39 runs off 44 balls with 3 fours and six to guide India to victory after 20 years in the world cup

Lockie Ferguson is the pick of the bowlers with the figures of 2 for 63 in his 8 overs. Santner is the economical bowler with the figures of 1 for 37 in his 10 overs.
