IND vs NED: KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer And Bowlers Takes India Home Against Netherlands

The double-century partnership from KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer along with their respective century and a combined effort from the bowlers guided India to their 9th win in a row in this World Cup as they beat the Dutch by 160 runs. Rohit Sharma did some experiments as he used all 9 bowling options and he and Virat Kohli got a wicket to go with it.

India won the toss and opted to bat first in the final league of the World Cup. While there were speculations of changes and resting of players The Men in Blue are unchanged for the clash The Netherlands started with spin from one end and pace from the other end and Indian openers got off to a great start as both Rohit and Gill took the attack to the  bowlers as

The opening duo put on a century partnership as Gill scored a quick-fire 50 before departing for   51 runs off 32  balls   With 3 fours and 4 sixes. Van Meekeren who is good at bowling short deliveries bowled one which hurried Gill and more importantly, it was above his eye-line. He tried to pull the ball and got the top edge however, Teja at fine-leg leaped into the air on the edge of the boundary to take a stunning catch.

The captain Rohit scored a brilliant 61 runs with 8 fours and 2 sixes Rohit tried to pull a delivery however and was caught at cow corner to a diving catch. The star batsman Virat Kohli once again scored a half-century his 71th  before departing for 51 runs off 56 balls with 5 fours and a six. Roelof van der Merwe from round the wicket, and he skids one through to crash into Virat Kohli’s off stump.

Shreyas Iyer and KL RAHUL notched up their respective century as the duo put on a double-century partnership before kl Rahul departed for a brilliant  102 runs off just 64 balls fastest century in this World Cup with 11 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 159 .38

Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 128 runs off  94 balls with 10 fours and  5 sixes to guide India to a mammoth 410 in their 50 overs. Bas de Leede was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets as he finished with the figures of 2 for 82 in his 10 overs. Siraj snaps up Wesley Barresi for 4  then Ackermann and ODowd put on a partnership of 61 runs for the second wicket before Kuldeep strikes as Ackermann traps leg before  Looks plumb   but he reviewed  and it stays as out

Jadeja cleaned up Max ODowd in the very first delivery he departed for 30 runs off 42 balls with 3 fours and six. Kohli got a wicket as the crowd went ballistic!!! Engelbrecht is the second top scorer for the Dutch with a well-made 45 runs off 80 balls with 4 fours and got Bowled through the legs by Siraj. Teja Nidamanuru completes his half-century, But, skipper Sharma decides to end Netherlands’ innings and dismisses Teja Nidamanuru scored a brilliant  54 runs off just 39 balls with 6 sixes and four. Dutch got bowled out for 250 in 47.5 overs. Siraj, Bumrah, Jadeja and Kuldeep chipped in with  2 wickets
