England would be aiming to win their first Test series in India after 2012 Test tour when the side was led by Alastair Cook. There is a massive challenge for Ben Stokes & Brendon McCullum. Cricket Expert Nasser Hussain was quite optimistic about England’s chances in the Test tour. Nasser Hussain also took a dig at Indian cricket team.

India would be hoping that Rohit Sharma continues his purple patch after smashing a scintillating ton against Afghanistan in the 3rd T20I match. The format may be different but Rohit Sharma had a brilliant BGT 2023 where he single handedly bamboozled the Aussies with his bat & his tactics.

England will have to play out of their skin to beat India as ‘Bazball’ won’t be effective in Indian conditions as compared to Pakistan. All eyes will be on Brendon McCullum who is known to be the mastermind behind England’s rise in the Test cricket and there are chances that ECB may adopt horses for courses kind of strategy.

Bazball has been very successful- Nasser Hussain

Nasser Hussain was having an interaction with Sky Sports and took a unique stance on England’s chances in Indian conditions. Nasser Hussain pointed out that the spin will play a massive role in deciding the winner of the iconic Test Series. Nasser stated that India has a brilliant spin attack which can bamboozle any team on the given day.

“Bazball has been very successful, especially at home, and the two toughest places to tour are India or Australia. It’s going to be a massive challenge for England. India want to see how this new approach will work at home. It will be fascinating cricket and will be interesting to see how this particular side will go against what is one of the great cricketing outfits at the moment, which is the India side,” said Nasser Hussain.

“If you go to India, spin will play a big part, it historically has done, and I suspect it always will do. India do have a very strong seam attack as well. India’s four spinners are very different to England’s. They have two left-arm finger spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. They have a wrist spinner in Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the greatest spinners of all time,” he stated.

“England have a solid left-arm spinner in Jack Leach and then three very inexperienced spinners after that with Tom Hartley, Shoaib Bashir and Rehan Ahmed. It will be a particular challenge for them, but the selectors see a high ceiling for them,” he added.
