Indian Cricket team won a nerve-wrecking match against Australia in the 1st T20I match. It was the sheer brilliance of Rinku Singh which took India home. The speedster Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowlers. Mukesh Kumar conceded only 29 runs in his 4 over spell and was spot on with his line & length during the death overs phase.

Arshdeep Singh, the left arm speedster couldn’t create an impact with the new ball which hurt the team. Arshdeep along with Prasidh Krishna were taken to the cleaners as most of their variations were proving to be ineffective as a second string Australian batting team dictated the terms.

Australia will have to perhaps bring back Adam Zampa into the playing 11 after the failure of Tanveer Sangha who couldn’t exert pressure on the opposition team. There are chances that the veteran speedster Kane Richardson may be back into the frame as well as he is someone who has got foxy variations and can provide lusty blows at the back end of the innings for the side.

Mukesh Kumar was absolutely sensational- Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Aakash Chopra was quite impressed with the way Mukesh Kumar bowled the 20th over and conceded only 5 runs in that. Aakash Chopra pointed out that bowling the 20th over is quite difficult rather than the 19th over and heaped praise on the speedster.

“Mukesh Kumar was the best bowler in the entire match. He conceded five runs in the last over which had seven balls – a no-ball and a free hit – but despite that, only five runs. The way he was bowling Yorkers consistently at the right spot, it seemed like it was a machine,” said Aakash Chopra.

“You didn’t give him the new ball. So he couldn’t get the ball to swing and because of that, he didn’t get wickets. You got him to bowl later when the batters were set. He bowled all difficult overs. While bowling first, the 20th over is more difficult than the 19th. Mukesh Kumar was absolutely sensational,” he added.
