Australian cricket team would be unhappy after not being able to win the match after coming so close to the victory and yet so far. India won the match by 2 wickets and with 1 ball left in the match as there was chaos at the back end of the run chase. Ishan Kishan, the destructive left handed batter played a key role in the victory. Ishan Kishan scored 58 runs in 39 balls and struck 5 huge sixes and 2 fours in his knock.
Rinku Singh played a match winning cameo of 22 runs in 14 balls and struck 4 fours. Astonishingly, he couldn’t get support from the likes of the pinch hitters Tilak Varma & Axar Patel. Aussies showed never to say die attitude despite India needed 20 runs from the last 3 overs of the run chase.
Australia’s bowlers weren’t able to exert pressure in the middle overs phase which hurt the team as chasing 209 runs is not an easy task by any means in the modern cricket. Apart from Jason Behrendorff all the bowlers were taken to the cleaners which is not a good sign for a champion side and it raises questions over the team’s dynamics.

Aakash Chopra praised Ishan Kishan and said that the batter didn’t panic even after playing out an entire over maiden against Jason Behrendorff. Aakash Chopra praised the dynamic left handed batter Rinku Singh for his hitting ability at the back end of the match.
“Ishan Kishan played well. Jason Behrendorff bowled a maiden over but despite that, Ishan Kishan has something that Steve Smith doesn’t, he hit sixes while standing at his position. He is brilliant but he also got out,” said Aakash Chopra.
“Wickets fell after that and the match became very interesting. Then Rinku, who has matured through the IPL, came. He batted extremely well and won the match by hitting a six. The way he batted under pressure, for me, the two biggest stars of this match were Mukesh Kumar and Rinku Singh,” he added.
