“Even in 2019 (last time in England for Ashes) it was my responsibility, it was my job to score runs and if I didn’t score runs they would find someone else to do my job and I don’t think that changes, It is about finding ways to score runs and contribute to the side in as many games as I can” he added.

Preparations for WTC 2023

Australian batter is preparing himself hard for the upcoming big match, while many of his teammates were in IPL, Labuschagne was in Europe preparing for the ICC WTC 2023.

Labuschagne believes that it would be India’s Underrated pace attack that would make the difference in the game rather than their quality spinners, and that’s what he is looking forward to, playing against the pacers while also having strategy against the spinners.

Mohammad Shami and Siraj form an impactful pace duo for India, while Umesh Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat are also in Contention to play at The Oval alongside recalled all-rounder Shardul Thakur.

Labuschagne feels that two months ago they played against India, so they are well-versed in their actions, and are ready to go against them.

It will be a grand battle in The Oval, with two strong teams playing against each other, thus it will be a riveting and thrilling match to watch.
