Australia have got such a long batting line up which makes them somewhat invincible. Andrew McDonald was having an interaction with the reporters after the conclusion of New Zealand vs Australia Test Series. Andrew McDonald made it somewhat clear that Mitchell Marsh will be the leader or the part of the leadership group and said that the Cricket Australia (CA) will announce the skipper in due course of time.
“I think all roads will lead to Mitch, so just got to get that ticked off in certain areas. We’re happy and comfortable with the way he’s been able to operate with that T20 team. We think he’s the leader for the (T20) World Cup, and I think that will just be a matter of due course,” said Andrew McDonald.
Great chance for Australia
If Mitchell Marsh leads the Australian side for the marquee tournament, then there are high chances that we may witness vintage version of him. Marsh is someone who has the knack of playing a fiery knock of 70 odd runs in 30 balls and can be a surprise package for the opposition teams.
The Aussies already have a lot of all-rounders in the form of Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green & Marcus Stoinis which makes them a deadly unit. All eyes though will be on the spin bowling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell who is in the form of his life and can be the ‘X’ factor for the Aussies as he has the knack of picking wickets and can bowl in tandem along with the premier spinner Adam Zampa.
