ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 USA will take over India it will be the first time the USA and India will face each other on a big stage. Both teams have been very strong and have been unbeaten so it will be a great battle to witness. USA has many Indian origins players who earlier used to reside in India so it will be familiar for them to play against them. USA have defeated Pakistan and Canada and India have defeated Ireland and Pakistan.
Aaron Jones is enthusiastic about playing against India
USA is hosting an ICC event for the first time and playing for the first time and has kickstarted its campaign with a bang and will look forward to keeping its winning streak. USA star batter Aaron Jones is very excited and can’t wait to defeat as well. Cricket in the USA is a boost for them to promote the sport and hype the game in a country like the USA where baseball and basketball have settled for many years but cricket will give them to explore more players and can’t say the USA can also be a full-member team as the well in upcoming years. Aaron Jones also said that he is keen to see star players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who are like idols for him and have seen him playing while growing up. Aaron Jones said:
“It is exciting, growing up as a kid, I always wanted to play against the best players in the world. I’m definitely going to get the opportunity to do that now and it’s exciting for me, I don’t want to say intimidating,” Jones said in the pre-match press conference.
“I’m excited to play against them and talk to them. Definitely to beat them as well,” he added. Jones said the India-origin players in the US camp, who at some stage in their lives had played cricket with some of the current Indian players, would be excited to link up with their former teammates as well. “They’re pretty excited, to be honest. This is the first time the USA will be playing against India. So many guys in our team are from India they actually played against and with so many guys back in the past, so they definitely (would) be excited to play against some friends for sure,” he said.
“With cricket being one of the biggest sports in the world, it’s only a matter of time before a majority of people come on board,” he said.”America is a place where people love sports. This World Cup is going to open the eyes of a lot of people and then in a few years, you have cricket in the Olympics — that’s a very big thing as well. I think everything is on the rise right now,” he added.
