ICC T20 World Cup 2024: “‘My Only Belief Was On Jassy Bhai”- Mohammed Siraj Lauds Jasprit Bumrah For His Brilliant Spell

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 India was crowned as Champions of the T20 World Cup 2024 and it was one of the greatest comebacks ever seen in the World Cup Rohit Sharma will be remembered for his captaincy and finally, they broke the jinx after 11 years.

Final overs tested the patience of every fan, but it tested well enough for us to celebrate and so it shows that we can do it. India conquered the victory by 7 runs and so India became champions of 2024.

Mohammed Siraj praises Jasprit Bumrah

India was stuck in the middle of win and lose as South Africa had pulled off the game towards them but the pace trio restricted them and it started with Hardik Pandya, he dismissed Henrich Klassen which was the biggest breakthrough for India. Then Jasprit Bumrah came and dismantled South Africa as he dismissed Marco Jansen and conceded 4 runs. Later in the last over Hardik Pandya created magic on the very first ball he dismissed David Miller and a catch by Surya Kumar Yadav will be remembered for ages so India made a solid comeback and won the match by 7 runs. Jasprit Bumrah gave an early breakthrough in powerplay he uprooted the stumps and picked the wicket of Reeza Hendricks which gave a boost to India. Jasprit Bumrah was also adjourned as Player of the Tournament scalping 15 wickets with an economy of 4.2. When the match was concluded celebrations started and in that ace pacer Mohammed Siraj got emotional and while speaking he truly supported Jasprit Bumrah as he is the backbone of India and also a leader of the bowling unit. While speaking Mohammed Siraj said:

“My only belief was on Jassy (Bumrah) bhai (To turn this game around). He’s the only game-changer. Whatever I thought exactly happened. Unbelievable feeling guys, can’t explain”

“Last World Cup I (we) lost the final. Every professional cricketer wants to win the World Cup final. I’m grateful I’m here and thankful”.
