The pacer mentioned that as a professional cricketer and public figure, he is ready to welcome all sorts of criticism but will not tolerate when his family is being dragged.

Former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has come out in support of Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf after the latter was involved in a scuffle with a fan in the United States of America (USA). The speedster was with his wife when the incident took place.
Rauf was visibly agitated by the comments made by the fan and was seen charging at him in anger. His wife and a few other bystanders were seen trying to stop him from hitting the individual.

Reacting to the incident, Hafeez shared a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, urging fans to respect the personal life of a cricketer. He wrote:
“Fans should know how to respect the boundaries between personal & professional life of a cricketer. These are basic ethics & a humble request.”
The Pakistan team’s flop show at the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup has irked several supporters. The Babar Azam-led side suffered a group-stage exit, failing to qualify for the Super 8 round. The Men in Green suffered back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India, which ultimately cost them a spot in the Super 8 round as they couldn’t secure a top-two finish in Group A.

Haris Rauf took to social media to issue a clarification over his heated argument with a fan after Pakistan’s 2024 T20 World Cup exit. He emphasized the importance of respecting people’s families.
The 30-year-old’s explanation suggested that something was said about his family, which led to him losing his cool. Rauf wrote:
“I decided not to bring this on social media, but now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions.”
