ICC T20 World Cup 2024: “India Gets The Fourth Star”- Sachin Tendulkar Lauds Indian Team After Winning T20 World Cup

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 India regained as champions after 11 years and broke the jinx finally. India won the match by 7 runs, they almost snatched from the jaws of defeat. It was an edge-of-the-seat thriller and no one had expected that match would end on this note.

Pacers trio Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya held their nerves till the end and defended the target successfully. Virat Kohli’s heroic knock of 76 helped India to register 176 onboard and it was the highest score of the T20 World Cup final.

Sachin Tendulkar praises Indian team

India finally broke the jinx and won the T20 World Cup after 17 years and finished the drought after 11 years. Rohit Sharma led from the front when the match was stuck in between and was almost to lose, Henrich Klassen smashed 24 runs in an over against Axar Patel which put India in trouble but final four overs India snatched the victory from South Africa and won the match by 7 runs. Many former players and other celebrities congratulated Team India for winning the World Cup, but the most important tweet was from India’s legendary player and God Of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar tweeted on social media and appreciated Team India for their success. Sachin Tendulkar said:

“Every star added to the Team India jersey inspires our nation’s starry-eyed children to move a step closer to their dreams,”

Every former player who represented India applauded team India for their success and especially everyone hails Rohit Sharma for his captaincy he almost made impossible things possible. Former Indian batter VVS Laxman also appreciated:

“Congratulations Team India on becoming the T20 World Cup Champions. Been the best team in the tournament remaining unbeaten throughout”. 

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli both announced their retirement from T20is and their final match was meant to be special so announcing retirement on such an auspicious day is very emotional yet happy for them to finish their career on a high note.
