Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain and Indian star batter Shreyas Iyer recently won the IPL for KKR third time and it was a great season for the team and Shreyas which went well. Shreyas Iyer is away from international cricket as his contract was snubbed and due to some fitness issues his name was removed from the list. A series of events continued like his fitness was not proper then removed his name was from the contract list suddenly he was seen playing Ranji Trophy and later he played IPL and won the title.
Shreyas Iyer clarifies on his controversy
Star batter Shreyas Iyer had a great World Cup scoring 2 centuries and was looking fit too. After the World Cup, he took a small break as he was selected in the India- England test series so the rest was much more important but since his fitness was supporting him he was dropped after the two matches and then he was seen nowhere in the Indian camp and when contracts were renewed then it was revealed that Shreyas Iyer has been snubbed from the contract and so he was very sad and depressed due to such instances many players face such situations and so communication lacks. Shreyas Iyer says:
“I had a terrific World Cup and I wanted to take a break after that and wanted to work on my body and build some strength around certain areas. Due to lack of communication, there were some decisions, that didn’t go in my favor,” the 29-year-old batter said.
“I realized that the bat is going to be in my hand and it’s on me to perform and win trophies. I decided that once I won the Ranji Trophy and IPL that would be an apt answer for whatever happened in the past and thankfully everything fell into the right place. I am grateful, how it happened,” Shreyas added.
