Rajasthan Royals (RR) player Yuzvendra Chahal is having an incredible season. His team was the first to advance to the qualifier round, with the remaining teams still in the race. Yuzvendra Chahal also demonstrated his abilities in this year’s IPL, which is why he was selected for the 2024 World Cup despite losing his central contract. While the former chief selector, MSK Prasad, questioned the management about Chahal’s absence from the team for the last two world cups, the current chief selector expressed interest in the player’s performance.

Not only is this year’s Indian Premier League 2024 bringing him even greater success than in previous years, but spin wizard Yuzvendra Chahal made history on Monday by opening his account in the Rajasthan Royals vs. Mumbai Indians match, which took place at the 38th spot. This finest spinner became the first player in IPL history to reach 200 wickets when he removed MI’s Muhammad Nabi.

In the international arena, Chahal performed admirably as well. His figures are impressive, and it will be even better when Kuldeep and Yuzi work together. Chahal has played in about 80 matches for India, taking 96 wickets with an economy of 8.19. He was unlucky never to be selected for the championship.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s wrist has the biggest twist- MSK Prasad

During an interview, former selector MSK Prasad expressed his thoughts regarding Yuzvendra Chahal’s selection for the ICC T20 World Cup. He mentioned that he felt let down when Chahal was not chosen for the World Cup held in Dubai, even though he was also unable to travel to Australia for the T20 World Cup. The player of this caliber being so blatantly disregarded for the championship stage was incredibly depressing and shocking.

“What shocks me is that how can you not pick Chahal when the T20 World Cup was happening in Dubai. How can you not pick him during the T20 World Cup in Australia as you needed a wrist spinner in Australian conditions. It was a shocking decision to see him missing out on the last two T20 World Cups,” said MSK Prasad.
