Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg predicted that Indian Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav will be going to play a big role for India in the coming world cup. He stated that Kuldeep Yadav has played well in recent times and cemented his place in the team after so many setbacks.
We can see how Kuldeep Yadav impressed selectors as well as fans with his performance, he is constantly taking wickets where his mates are struggling to get some. Kuldeep’s consistency is making him the most important asset for Team India. For the first time after 2019, Kuldeep managed to play more than 10 ODIs where he showed decent performance, he has played 11 ODI matches this year where he picked 22 wickets with an economy of 4.88.
With 22 wickets this year Kuldeep is the highest wicket-taker for India in ODIs following Mohammad Siraj. recently against West Indies Kuldeep picked 7 wickets in 3 innings which shows that his current form is awesome and that drives the Australian legend to say big words for him.

Brad Hogg was having an interaction with Revsportz and said that Kuldeep Yadav has been been selected for the Asia Cup over Yuzvendra Chahal and also expected to be chosen for ODI World Cup. In the 2019 ODI World Cup Kuldeep didn’t look good he was only able to pick 6 wickets in 7 innings so this World Cup has to be a big stage for him to show his potential but before that.
This Asia Cup is going to be the toughest challenge where he has to bowl against Asian countries which are considered to be good against spin. Kuldeep Yadav’s performance in the Asia Cup will decide whether he is getting into the World Cup squad or not but his performance this year is surely the best ODI bowling performance for India.
“Kuldeep Yadav had a great IPL this year. He has come back well. What defines a player is when someone has been dropped. He has been out of the game, and worked on his action. He is not falling away as much. He is now getting more revolutions on the ball, and drift as well. I think Rohit Sharma captains him well. He is a fighter,” said Brad Hogg.
Australian senior spinner stated that Kuldeep is going to be the key player against Australia in the World Cup and he also added that he would like to see Kuldeep Yadav against Australia. In the recent series against Australia Kuldeep has picked 4 Aussies wickets in 3 games whereas last he took 3 wickets.
Australian veteran spinner also talked about Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, he said that big players like Virat Kohli and Kl Rahul should come forward and back their captain up
“When you are under pressure, you need other teammates to back you. You need Virat Kohli to step up, maybe Rahul behind the stumps as he has got a lot of captaincy experience. Just to help him to take that pressure off. In the bowling department, bowlers need to stand up, and make the decisions by themselves,” he added.
