Former Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar makes a prediction about Virat Kohli’s 50th ODI century. Sunil Gavaskar feels the Indian run machine will break Sachin’s record on his birthday by scoring 50th century in the format. Virat Kohli is just one century away from equalizing the 49th-century records of the great Sachin Tendulkar.

In the match against New Zealand, King Kohli almost equals the record, but he falls a few runs short of the feat. Virat Kohli tried to break the box with a six but could not succeed. Virat has looked quite calm & composed as often he is called “chasemaster.”

In his recent interview, Sunil Gavaskar predicts Virat Kohli’s 50th ODI ton:

“I do not know about the 49th ton, but I know about the record-breaking 50th. Kohli will make his 50th ODI century against South Africa at the Eden Gardens, and what better occasion than his birthday? It is a sight when you slam a ton there because the Kolkata crowd gives you a standing ovation and cheers for you; the air is filled with whistles and claps for you. It is a moment to savor for every batter in the car.”

In the match against New Zealand, Virat Kohli helped India defeat the Kiwis after 20 long years with his brilliant knock of 95 in just 104 balls. Team India shatter the losing cause against the black caps after 20 years.

The modern master is looking in great touch in the ICC World Cup 2023; he has played brilliant knocks for India in the tournament so far. In the very first match of the tournament against Australia, he took India to a stunning victory.

India was in trouble when he came to bat; he combined with KL Rahul to pocket the game very easily.

Recently, veteran batsman Virat Kohli set a record for the fastest 26,000 runs in international cricket. While Tendulkar reached the same milestone in 664 games, Kohli accomplished the astounding achievement in 511 games. Kohli has scored 354 runs for Rohit’s team at the ODI World Cup, averaging 118.00 in five games.
