Indian cricket team would be booming with confidence after registering a convincing victory against England. Mohammed Shami, the speedster was the wrecker in chief who not only took a 4 wicket haul but created fear in the minds of the English batters. Mohammed Shami was getting ample assistance from the surface and was in complete control.

The trio of Shami, Bumrah & Siraj seems to be too hot to handle for the opposition teams. We must not forget that Rohit Sharma has stood tall behind his fast bowlers and with Hardik Pandya returning later in the tournament, we can expect a lethal troika who can make the ball talk on a flat deck as well.

England on the other hand would be in a state of shock as their batters not only lacked intent but there was no fire in their belly as chasing 230 runs would have required a partnership of 70 odd runs and the game would have changed. Rohit Sharma made life harder for Britishers by applying field tactics.

There was an amazing over to Ben Stokes by Mohammed Shami- Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel. Aakash Chopra was highly impressed with the bowling performance of the Indian cricket team and said that winning the match by 100 runs is quite massive. Aakash Chopra showered praise on the lethal pacer Mohammed Shami and said that the pacer was quite unplayable.

“Let’s focus on India’s bowling first. As they say – batters win you matches but it’s the bowlers who win you tournaments and this team’s bowling unit is wow. The team scored 229 in total in a 50-over game and won by 100 runs against an England team, which says they will do amazing things,” said Aakash Chopra.

“The way Bumrah moved the new ball and then Mohammed Shami – sensational Shami, fantastic Shami, absolutely spectacular Shami. I was slightly disappointed that he wasn’t given the new ball. He came after two or three overs,” he stated.

“First Bumrah went around the stumps and dismissed Dawid Malan, and then Joe Root off the first ball from over the stumps. He was on a hat-trick and so was Mohammed Shami. There was an amazing over to Ben Stokes. Not even one ball hit the bat,” he further stated.

“If the ball is not hitting the bat and you play a shot like that, you do that in only two situations – either you are extremely confident or you want to run after breaking jail. This time he turned his back and ran away from a fight,” he added.

“Then Kuldeep came and embarrassed you, the way he dismissed Jos Buttler. Ravindra Jadeja left Chris Woakes stranded halfway down the pitch, and then Shami and Bumrah again at the death. It is an unbelievable bowling unit.” he concluded.
