England’s national cricket team would be eager to play spoilsport when they would clash against India on 29th October at Lucknow. All eyes though would be Shubman Gill who has shown encouraging signs in the last couple of matches. Shubman Gill perhaps needs to up the ante in the powerplay overs rather than playing a defensive brand of cricket.

The batting greats Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma would be aware of England’s dangerous bowling lineup as the track at Lucknow can be sluggish and the batting lineup could be tested. Shreyas Iyer’s form has been a concern for the management as the batter needs to play according to his credentials.

It is really exciting for someone like me to see Shubman Gill grow- Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid was having an interaction with the media and was quite impressed with the way Shubman Gill has fared and made a name for himself in the international arena. Rahul Dravid was the U-19 head coach and under his guidance, it won’t be wrong to say that Shubman Gill flourished.

“Shubman is someone who has been around the team for a little bit but has come to his own in the last year or so. It’s been reflected in his performances and his maturity as a person. It is really exciting for someone like me to see him grow from an under-19 kid to the player and person he has become,” said Rahul Dravid.

Steep task for England

Skipper Jos Buttler would be aware of the fact that India is the unbeatable side in the championship. In this summit clash, the role of Ben Stokes would be pivotal as he is someone who can play the waiting game and hurt the opposition with his mind game.

England have got nothing to lose which makes them a dangerous unit as they would be keen to drag India. The speedster Mark Wood hasn’t been able to create an impact which has surprised everyone as the pacer is quite renowned for his sheer pace and impeccable line & length.
