Indian cricket team would be booming with confidence after winning 6 matches out of 6 in the championship. Mohammed Shami was the destroyer in chief against England. Mohammed Shami not only took a 4 wicket haul but his spell was a treat to watch for a billion fans and for England’s batters’ a nightmare where they looked clueless.

It looks unlikely that Mohammed Shami & Mohammed Siraj would feature in the playing 11 during the knock-out stages as the all-rounder Shardul Thakur is the frontline cricketer to come back into the team. Shardul Thakur has the backing of skipper Rohit Sharma and we should not forget that he has got some sheer hitting ability which makes him a dangerous asset to have in the team.

All eyes would be on the star batter Virat Kohli who had a rare failure against England and was dismissed for a golden duck. Virat Kohli needs to play smartly against left arm pacers as the angle which the pacers create is quite disturbing for Virat and he eventually throws his wicket or gets trapped.

Mohammed Shami’s length is so accurate- Shane Watson

Shane Watson was having an interaction with Star Sports. Shane Watson made a huge claim that Mohammed Shami has taken over Mohammed Siraj’s spot in the team. Shane Watson pointed out that Mohammed Shami has been in terrific rhythm and is quite unplayable when the pacer is in his zone.

“It’s a great problem for India to have. That’s a sign of a team that’s in incredible form where all the players are putting their hands up and playing at their best. In my mind, Shami has taken over Siraj’s spot because of the way he’s bowled in the last two games. He’s been incredible,” said Shane Watson.

“When Shami is at his best, as we saw against England, he’s just so difficult to play, Watson said. “He can beat any batter on the outside or the inside. And because his length is so accurate, it’s always hitting the stumps. He’s always in there asking questions,” he stated.

“It was unfortunate that Hardik went down injured. But that meant that Shami got an opportunity, and for me he’s surpassed Siraj because of the way he’s been bowling,” he added.
