India’s premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers against Afghanistan. Jasprit Bumrah took a 4 wicket haul on a placid track and was spot-on with his line & length. The peculiarity of Jasprit Bumrah was that he provided crucial breakthroughs to the team.
It was a phenomenal performance by the mighty Men in Blue who now have won 2 matches out of 2 and have looked a team to beat. The management would be slightly worried with the bowling figures of the lethal pacer Mohammed Siraj who was taken to the cleaners.

Jasprit Bumrah was having an interaction with the media post the victory against Afghanistan. Jasprit Bumrah made it clear that the side doesn’t prepare differently given India’s next opponent is Pakistan on 14th October. Jasprit Bumrah pointed out that the side is focused on their own team & strengths.
“See, every team will have batsmen, every team will have bowlers. We also have batsmen; we also have bowlers. We’re not preparing any special for any special team. Yes, we’re looking at ourselves more than the others because we’ve realized that if we focus on our team, we focus on our strengths, everything else takes care of itself,” said Jasprit Bumrah.
“So, we are focusing on our team, our preparation. If everything that is there in our control, we control that, that gives us the best chance. So that is what our team is focusing on,” he added.
Clinical performance by India
India’s skipper Rohit Sharma silenced all the critics by smashing his 31st ODI ton and looked in sublime touch. It seemed as if he was toying with the bowlers as all the variations were proving to be ineffective against the skipper.
India though can’t afford to be complacent as Pakistan will be a complete different ball game as compared to Afghanistan. India will have to tackle the pace threat of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf & Hasan Ali as the trio can easily create a havoc with sheer pace.
