India’s star batter Virat Kohli would be crestfallen after missing out on the well-deserving 49th ODI ton by only 5 runs against New Zealand. Virat Kohli looked in complete control of the run chase as the pitch was quite sluggish and New Zealand’s bowlers made sure that they bowled wicket to wicket and didn’t give room to the batters.
Virat Kohli now has 3 half-centuries and 1 ton to his name in the ODI WC 2023 as the chase master has looked unstoppable in the championship. The peculiarity of Virat Kohli in the tournament has been that he has seemed more focused and keen on rotating the strike which has been the main reason behind his rise in the ODI circuit.

Shoaib Akhtar was seen speaking on his You Tube channel. Shoaib Akhtar made a huge statement that no words can describe the greatness of Virat. Shoaib Akhtar pointed out that Virat doesn’t panic in pressure situations.
“It seemed like a repeat of the previous match (Pune) the way he (Kohli) was going. I really wanted him to get to his hundred and equal Sachin’s record. But it will eventually happen someday. I have no words left to describe his greatness,” said Shoaib Akhtar.
“What Virat Kohli does is presents himself to the pressure situation, and then the pressure situation gives him the opportunity, once again to score a hundred, win the game for his team and become a chasemaster,” he added.
