Former Pakistan Cricket Board’s Chairman Ramiz Raja threw hard words at the Pakistani team after they lost to New Zealand (*Warm up clash), even after posting a huge target on the board. Ramiz Raja took on the Pakistani bowling attack on charge and was furious about the bowling unit
In the warm-up match, Pakistan scored 345 in their batting quota; they batted really well, but their bowling did not look on track as the opposition chased the big target in 44 overs. Pakistan’s bowling unit was taken to the cleaners and looked clueless against the Kiwi batters.
Pakistan lost to New Zealand by five wickets in the high-scoring warm-up match. Bated first after winning the toss, Babar Azam and his team scored 345 on five wickets on the scoreboard. Mohammad Rizwan scored a stunning century, skipper Babar looked good with his 80 off 84, while young Saud Shakeel also scored 75 off only 53 balls.
While giving chase to the mammoth target, young Rachin Ravindra scored with 97 in just 72 balls while opening the inning. Skipper Kane Williamson also contributed with his half century; Daryl Mitchell was brilliant with his 59 off 57 balls; and Mark Chapman remained not out on 65 off 41 balls.
Winning becomes a habit but…..- Ramiz Raja
On his YouTube channel, Ramiz Raja expressed how Pakistan bowling is not looking on track. Ramiz Raja was quite concerned about the attitude of Pakistani cricket team. Ramiz pointed out that such batting tracks can make bowlers powerless.
“I know it was just a practice game, but a win is a win. And winning becomes a habit. But I feel Pakistan is now getting the habit of losing. First, they lost in the Asia Cup, and now they are here. Pakistan scored 345, and it was a great run-chase,” said Ramiz Raja.
“If these are the pitches—and you will get such pitches in India—you will have to score 400 if your bowling keeps misfiring like this. You will have to change your tactics and take risks. And we don’t do that. We play defensively for the first 10–15 overs and then shift gears.” he added.
