Indian cricket team is in red hot form after winning 6 matches out of 6 and have been quite ruthless in all the 3 facets of the game. Renowned expert Shoaib Akhtar was quite impressed with India’s bowling attack. Shoaib Akhtar pointed out that winning the match by 100 runs against England was quite commendable given they had only 229 runs to defend.

Head coach Rahul Dravid though would be worried about the form of Shreyas Iyer who is getting out similarly. Perhaps, Shreyas Iyer needs a break and the management should include the swashbuckling batter Suryakumar Yadav in his place after his brilliant knock of 40 odd runs under pressure against England.

The two stalwarts of Indian cricket Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma will have to make sure that they bat deep. We earlier witnessed against England, the mini collapse where the skipper Rohit Sharma bailed out the team it would have been quite an embarrassing performance. Rohit has looked quite calm & composed in tough situations.

Jasprit Bumrah is a very smart fast bowler- Shoaib Akhtar

Shoaib Akhtar was seen speaking on his YouTube channel. Shoaib Akhtar said that those days are gone when India’s batters used to win them the matches and stated that now India have got a lethal bowling attack. Shoaib Akhtar also pointed out that half fit Hardik Pandya is not good for the Indian bowling attack.

“People used to say India win matches with batting. See today, they are doing it with bowling as well. They had to defend 229 and won by 100 runs! That’s a huge thing! Hats off to the Indian bowling, especially Bumrah, very very smart fast bowler,” said Shoaib Akhtar.

“India now need five good days to win the World Cup. If they go the final unbeaten and win the title, it will be a world record. I have never seen that, winning the World Cup without losing (a single match). I hope they don’t have bad luck in the semifinal or final,”  he stated.

“A half-fit Hardik Pandya is not good for the Indian bowling attack because they may drop one bowler (to bring him in)…You can drop (Shreyas) Iyer if Hardik comes in, but don’t drop anyone from your bowling unit,” he added.
