(2) Over- reliance on star duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma
The Indian team is completely dependent on star batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, due to which, in the World Cup, where these batsmen will prove to be the spread for the Indian team, it may prove to be a challenging task for the young players to come forward and manage the team.
We have seen many such occasions where if the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli fall within the first 10 overs, then the leading batsmen do not show that confidence and then the entire team is unable to play even 50 overs. Right arm off break bowler always has an important role in spin bowling and there is no such bowler in the Indian team, recently Ravichandran Ashwin has also been included in the ODI series between India and Australia and so It is being said that he can also be seen for the World Cup. Ashwin played his last ODI in January 2022. Therefore, his inclusion in the World Cup team depends on his performance in this series.
