Danish Kaneria, a former spinner for Pakistan, accumulates his finest compliments for the destructive left handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, citing the southpaw’s amazing batting displays during the just-finished Rajkot Test match against England.

In the second inning, Jaiswal stunned everyone with a scorching, undefeated 214-run knock. With remarkable skill, he countered the English bowlers, even going so far as to smack renowned pacer James Anderson for three consecutive sixes.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is just the second Indian batsman to record consecutive double hundreds in a Test series, which is something worth noting. His performance enabled the hosts to establish a formidable 557-run target for the visitors.

Kid understood the game and destroyed the trap- Danish Kaneria on Yashasvi Jaiswal attacking on James Anderson’s bowling

Kaneria highlighted how the talented youngster overcame Anderson by avoiding the trap set by the more experienced player. In addition, he stated that Jaiswal’s batting approach is a lot like that of the great Indian batsmen Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag.

According to the Danish Kaneria’s most recent YouTube video:

“Yashasvi Jaiswal is a combination of Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag. He is like a left-handed version of Virender Sehwag. James Anderson is one of the finest fast bowlers and has taken close to 700 wickets. He has been there for ages. He made a plan to trap Jaiswal, but that kid understood the game and destroyed the trap,”

He stamped his authority- Danish Kaneria on Sarfaraz Khan’s innings

Sarfaraz Khan, making his test debut, was as impressive, finishing with scores of 62 and 68*. Kaneria complimented the right-hander for his impressive batsmanship, saying:

“Sarfaraz Khan had been knocking on the selectors’ doors for a long time now, and when he finally got a chance, he stamped his authority. He showed the kind of cricket he plays. It was one of the best innings; he was brilliant,”

In the fourth innings, England got out for a dismal score of 122. India took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series after winning by a staggering 434 runs, their largest-ever test victory in terms of runs.

I don’t think he will be rested- Danish Kaneria on Jasprit Bumrah getting rest for the fourth test

In the current Test series against England, Jasprit Bumrah, the leader in pace bowling, has been a vital part of Team India. On the spin-friendly wickets, the speedster has been successful in leaving his mark.

India shouldn’t rest their best bowler for the fourth Test, according to Danish Kaneria. He said that before resting their experienced players, the team should try to win the series.

“I don’t think Jasprit Bumrah will be rested for the fourth Test. He should play the fourth Test, and once India secure a series victory, he should get rest from the final fixture. India can rest a few senior players and try out their youngsters in the fifth Test, but not in the fourth Test,” he elaborated.

From February 23 to 27, the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi will host the fourth Test between India and England.
