An all-around show from Mehidy Hasan as Bangladesh got to their first victory in this edition of the World Cup after their bowlers dismantled Afghanistan for 156 as they won by 6 wickets with more than 15 overs to spare. Mehidy Hasan looked in complete control as he not only struck a half-century but also took 3 wickets.

After the brilliant spell with the ball Mehidy Hasan Miraz showcased his all-round skill with the bat as he scored a brilliant half-century scoring 57 off 75 balls with 5 fours. He was well supported by the man in the form Najmul Shanto who also scored a well-crafted half-century and guided his team to victory.
