Australian cricket team would be roaring to dictate the terms against Pakistan in the 3 Test match series commencing from 14th December. The series would mark the return of Nathan Lyon who was injured in the middle of the Ashes 2023. Nathan Lyon‘s experience would be priceless in the summit series.

Pakistan have got a new Test skipper in the form of Shan Masood who is expected to bat at No.3 position. All eyes though once again would be on Babar Azam who would be keen to make a statement that he is not done yet in the red ball format. Babar Azam needs to play his natural game rather than getting into the shell.

I have got nothing but respect for Ravichandran Ashwin- Nathan Lyon

Nathan Lyon was having an interaction with cricket.com.au and was quite impressed with the way how Ravichandran Ashwin’s career has panned out. Nathan Lyon pointed out that Ashwin has been his biggest coach. Nathan Lyon stated that he still has the passion to represent Australia in the red ball format

“You look at Ashwin, he’s a world-class bowler and somebody I’ve watched closely from the start of his career. We’ve gone head-to-head many times in different conditions around the world,” said Nathan Lyon

“I’ve got nothing but respect for Ashwin and the way he’s gone about it. There’s an opportunity to learn from the people you play against, and without knowing it, he’s probably been one of my biggest coaches in a way,” he stated.

“I’m not putting a number on it. I want to play cricket for as long as I can. Haven’t won (a Test series) in India, haven’t won in England – that’s two places that I want to do, so with the injury happening a couple of months ago I feel like there’s a passion there to keep going and keep trying to get better. I’m feeling really confident, really happy with where everything is at and it’s just about going out there and performing now,” he added.
