AUS VS BAN: Mitchell Marsh 177 & Adam Zampa’s Economical Spell Guides Australia To Victory

Mitchell Marsh‘s 177 and Adam Zampa’s economical spell guided Australia to victory as they won 8 wickets with 5.2 overs to spare. Australia will be looking to maintain their winning momentum ahead of the knockout stages

Pat Cummins won the toss and decided that Australia would bowl first. Double Centurion Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc have been rested for the game. As for Bangladesh Shakib went home to Bangladesh due to a finger injury. After losing their first two matches, Australia now have won six matches on the trot at the World Cup.

Bangladesh got off to a great start with the opening partnership of 76 runs before Tanzid departed on 36  runs while trying to defend a short ball from Sean Abbott. His partner Litton also departed for the same score which is a score of 36 runs off 45 balls with 3 fours.

The stand-in skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy rebuilt the innings with a vital partnership of 64 runs for the 3rd wicket before the captain departed for 45 runs off 57 balls with 6 fours Unnecessary running from Shanto and Hridoy and exceptional fielding from Marnus Labuschagne lead to the Bangladeshi skipper losing his wicket.

Tohid Hridoy 74 guided Bangladesh to 306

Mushfiqur departed for 21 runs while trying to pull a short ball from Adam Zampa, only to hand it directly to Cummins. Tohid Hridoy hit a brilliant 74 runs off  79 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes before departing while trying to hit a full toss out of the ground only to hit it straight into the hands of Marnus Labuschagne who has had an excellent day in the field. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored a vital 29 runs off 19 balls with 4 fours to guide Bangladesh to 306 for 8 in their 50 overs.

Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowler for Australia with the figures of 2 for 32 in his 10 overs. Abbott too picked up 2 wickets and finished with the figures  2 for 61 in his 10 overs Australia affected 3 run out too to go with the wickets.

Taskin gets the first one. Travis Head sees a short one, tries pulling the ball on the leg side, and gets the inside edge onto the stumps he departed for 10. Warner and Mitchell Marsh put on a century stand before Warner Mustafizur who picks the wicket. David Warner tried to hit the bowler over the mid-on fielder however, he got himself caught by him inside the ring

Warner departed for a well-made 53 runs off 61 balls with 6 fours. Mitchell Marsh scored his 3rd one day international and built up a match-winning unbeaten  175 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket  with Steven Smith Steven Smith scored a fantastic half-century and remains unbeaten on 63 runs off 64 balls with 4fours and six Mitchell Marsh scored a fabulous 177 runs off just 132 balls with 17 fours and 9 fours to guide Australia to victory
