Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has praised KL Rahul‘s recent batting and expressed hope that he remains healthy. Harbhajan Singh praised the short but simple innings of KL Rahul, who was the top scorer for India in the match between India vs Sri Lanka, and also described his partnership with Ishan Kishan as an important moment of this match.
In the thrilling match against Sri Lanka on 12th September, India played brilliantly and defended 213 runs and defeated Sri Lanka by 42 runs. While batting first, KL Rahul scored the most runs for India after captain Rohit Sharma and along with Ishan Kishan rescued the Indian team from the initial setbacks.

KL Rahul had already returned from injury and played a strong century against Pakistan and silenced the critics. Praising KL Rahul’s game, Harbhajan Singh said that Rahul is batting very well and I hope that now he stays away from getting injured.
“KL Rahul’s partnership with Ishan Kishan was crucial. I hope I don’t jinx it, but KL Rahul is playing really really well. I hope he does not get injured or something. He is scoring runs in a sublime fashion and it did not look like he was playing on the same pitch as the other batters,” said Harbhajan Singh.
With this spectacular victory over Sri Lanka, India entered the final of the Asia Cup and now India’s only formality match will be played against Bangladesh on 15th September in Colombo. A knockout match will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on 14th September, the winner of this match will play the final on 17th India.

In the match against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma scored 10,000 runs in his ODI career and became the fifth Indian player to do so. He achieved this feat in 241 ODI innings. The fastest player to score 10,000 runs for India is still Virat Kohli.
