England’s “Bazball” style has been proved to be more than effective as they have won 10 out of 12 Test matches since the dynamic duo of Stokes and Brendon McCullum assumed leadership last May. Daniel Vettori who played for New Zealand alongside, Brendon McCullum asserted that England’s winning record has caught more attention rather than their aggressive style of play.

England Cricket Team is seeing a dynamic cultural revolution within the team’s ranks. They are currently playing their best Cricket, only lost 2 out of their 12 matches, with Johnny Bairstow making his comeback this Summer, the Test matches are going to be more riveting and thrilling to watch.

“It Was Results Rather Than Bazball”, Says Vettori

Australia’s Assistant coach Daniel Vettori was having an interaction with the reporters ahead of WTC final 2021-23.  Daniel Vettori stated that England have focused on results and made it clear that ‘Bazball’ isn’t that important if England don’t win the match.

“Irrespective of the style they (England) are using, they’re playing winning cricket and that’s the thing everyone gravitates towards. The fact that they’ve played so well over an extended period of time has been what’s so impressive.” said Daniel Vettori.

“Brendon McCullum wouldn’t want to make the attention about himself, but he’s got this moniker going for him now. That’s Brendon Brendon McCullum since he came out of the womb- he’s pretty positive. It was Results rather than the Bazball” he added.

Ambiguity Surrounding Stokes Fitness

England is currently playing against Ireland in the 4 day test match, however there are speculations mounting over England’s Superstar fitness, as he is going through a longstanding knee injury that has required a cortisone injection. He wasn’t able to bowl in England’s previous outing against New Zealand in February 2023.

England’s Star all-rounder also played a very little part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was constantly monitored by the CSK (Chennai Super League) medical team, due to his knee injury. However, Stokes is now confident that his knee is in a much better place and appears positive that he has recovered fully.

The skipper of England is making a rapid comeback, as he will be a valuable all-rounder for England in the upcoming ashes, against their arch-rivals Australia, starting from 16th June 2023.
