In the ongoing T20 World Cup, star Indian batsman Virat Kohli was dismissed for 24 off 24 balls against Afghanistan, illustrating his continued struggles. Another poor performance in the tournament, Kohli was caught at long off Rashid Khan’s bowling in an attempt to quicken the score. Even though Kohli’s score in this World Cup has finally surpassed ten, his form has been a major cause for concern.

Compared to his usual standards, Kohli’s performance in the T20 World Cup has been subpar. The way that Kohli is playing, both critics and fans are taking notice of his poor batting average of 7.25 and his meager 29 runs from four innings. While his knock against Afghanistan offered some indications of his potential, his dismissal before turning the start into a significant score has been a recurrent issue.

For India to succeed in the T20 World Cup, Kohli’s form is essential. An important component of India’s batting strategy has been his capacity to steady the innings and pick up speed when necessary. India’s chances of winning the trophy could be significantly enhanced by Kohli’s return, particularly with crucial games remaining. At this crucial point in the T20 World Cup, Brian Lara is pleading with Virat Kohli to exercise patience. Given his skill and history, Kohli may soon find his form again.

Brian Lara’s Confidence in Virat Kohli’s Comeback

Brian Lara, a former cricket legend from the West Indies, has urged patience with Virat Kohli, pointing out that the star Indian batsman needs time to get back into form. Lara, who was speaking on Star Sports, emphasized the value of Kohli spending time at the wicket and forecast a comeback in the next games. Lara said she was confident that Kohli would recover, especially as the tournament moves to Caribbean locations.

“24 of 24, you can say that’s not great but the most important thing is that he spent some time out there. India is one step closer to winning this trophy. I believe that Virat Kohli is just gonna go from strength to strength as he comes down to the Caribbean,” Lara said while speaking on Star Sports.

“He’s going to Antigua next, you’re gonna see him go out there and plough and plough, he’s gonna get runs. When he gets into full swing, it’s a different story. We just have to be very patient with him, we’re gonna see a lot of him there’s still a lot of games left in this World Cup,” Lara added.
