Journey till now: West Indies and England

West Indies have been the most consistent team in the World Cup, every player has shown form and so everything is going well with West Indies. They are yet to lose a match and it’s like Deja Vu of World Cup 2023 where India didn’t lose any match and reached the final but unfortunately, they lost the match so can we experience the same thing or else it will remain the same? Skipper Rowman Powell has balanced the team and the rotation of bowlers was all good. The last match they played against Afghanistan was a run-fest and West Indies scored the highest run in powerplay in the T20 World Cup and won the match by a big margin.

England held their nerves and despite heavy rain match was reduced to 10 overs still managed to score 122 runs and restricted Namibia and qualified for Super 8. Against Australia, they lost by a big margin so their net run rate was also reduced, and felt like they could be knocked out of the tournament but destiny had some other plans against Oman they chased the target very quickly within 3.1 overs which implemented their net run rate and hopes got revived. Bowlers are in great form so it will be a tough fight and it’s a repeat of the 2016 T20 World Cup final where West Indies won their second title, so will history repeat or England will bounce back?

Head-to-Head: West Indies and England

West Indies have a great dominance over England in 29 appearances West Indies are 17 while England have 12 wins. So it’s a great battle to watch.

Pitch Report:

St .Lucia have a great surface to bat as West Indies and Afghanistan match was on same stadium we witnessed something extraordinary batting so run fest is confirmed and also a certified blockbuster guaranteed too. Pitch is flat yet dry but breezes come and go so dew won’t get easily so targets are defended quite easily.
