KL Rahul started with a top-notch five-wicket win over the Australian team. As a skipper, he did a great job for his team, and the batter feels he also loves this job.

KL Rahul was a bit scratchy as he dropped catches, missed stumpings and run-outs as well which is unacceptable in modern cricket. All eyes were on Kl Rahul’s captaincy in the series, and he did not disappoint in terms of his captaincy, and in the post-match presentation, he expressed his love for the role.

The new opening combination Ruturaj Gaikwad & Shubman Gill worked for the India combination; they were taking the game away from the Aussies, but a sudden twist came when India lost wickets in a quick interval, but a good partnership between Suryakumar Yadav and the skipper, Kl Rahul, helped India secure a five-wicket win in the match.

We talked about hitting good cricket shots and rotating the strike-  KL Rahul

During the post match presentation, KL Rahul spoke about the team’s performance. KL Rahul revealed how he & Suryakumar Yadav paced the run chase and said that the duo wanted to take the game deep rather than playing an aggressive brand of cricket.

“This is not the first time; it always happens to me. I’m used to it; I love it. I think the intensity in the afternoon was great out there; after Colombo, it felt like heaven from the start, but it was really hot.” It gets really tough and challenging physically, but we have all worked hard on our fitness, and that is showing on the field.

We only bowled with five bowlers. After Shubman got out, it was a bit tricky with the set batter out. But we built a good partnership with Surya,. We talked about hitting good cricket shots and running the strike, and this is the thing all our batters are working on. We didn’t want to get bogged down; we were always on par, so we wanted to take it deep,” he expressed.
