In a pulsating match that swung in favor of both teams, Gujarat Titans emerged victorious as Rashid Khan’s boundary off the last ball sealed a nail-biting 3-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals.
We were targeting 45 in 3 overs and it is very much gettable and that was the mindset at that time. Mathematically both batters needed to hit 22 off 9 balls and that’s how the thinking goes and if one batter goes berserk that will do,” stated skipper Shubman Gill at a post-match interview.

Parag took an aggressive approach, attacking the bowlers aggressively, while Samson played more cautiously, capitalizing on loose deliveries for boundaries. Parag, in exceptional form this season, scored 76 runs before Mohit Sharma dismissed him. Captain Samson and the aggressive Hetmeyer added quick runs to set a target of 197 for the Titans.

The Tewatia and Rashid partnership dominated the frazzled Royals’ death bowling lineup, leading to the downfall of the only undefeated team in the IPL so far.
