West Indies Allrounder Romario Shepherd jokingly remarked that his fellow Guyanese cricketer Shamar Joseph would boast all day if he managed to dismiss him in IPL 2024. Shamar Joseph is tipped to be the next big thing in World cricket as he not only has got express pace but at the same time has good control over his line & length.

Romario Shepherd was traded to Mumbai Indians from the Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the Auction in December, 2023. Meanwhile, Shamar Joseph initially went unsold at the auction but was picked by the Lucknow Super Giants after his Gabba Heriocs as a replacement to English speedster Mark Wood who withdrew citing workload management.
“We have played practice games in Guyana and he has bowled to me in the nets and got me out, but this will be the first time in an official game. Shamar is bowling fast; he has gotten faster. He can bowl 150kph and I have to be more careful with him. If he gets me out [in the IPL], he’s going to tell me about it all day (laughs), so I’m going to make sure that he doesn’t get me out,” Shepherd explained.
