Rajat Patidar emerged as Player of the Match in Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) match No. 41, where RCB defeated SRH by 35 runs. Despite his slow start to the IPL season, Rajat Patidar has shown his temperament by scoring three 50s in his last four innings for RCB. Taking into account every aspect of the game from yesterday, RCB excels as a team and produces their best performance from the bat and ball.

In the first half, Rajat Patidar contributed with a brilliant half-century knock and Cameron Green’s well-supported inning of 37 at a strike rate of 180, helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set a competitive target of 210. Virat Kohli continued his performance and went on to lead the orange cap, scoring 51 of 43 deliveries.

However, Sunrises Hyderabad can’t capitalize on the start that Abhishek Sharma gave them, scoring 31 runs, but losing wickets quickly gives the RCB side the upper hand. Shahbaz Ahmad displayed his all-around ability and scored a solid 40 runs with the help of Captain Pat Cummins, who scored 31 off of 15 balls, but the win was not enough to warrant praise for Cameron Green and Swapnil Singh, who took six wickets for the Royals.

Rajat Patidar has not proven himself since the Australia test; he has been having form issues. He was also absent from the previous IPL season owing to injury, but in the season before, he demonstrated an exceptional batting approach that will be evident in the second half of the 2024 season. Despite their setbacks, he also receives consistent support from the team because he manages to demonstrate their faith in him by scoring fifty runs, but they still want him to score more runs and use his starting position to benefit RCB.

Rajat Patidar Expresses His Position About Coming Back To Form

After winning Player of the Match in the Post-Match Presentation, Patidar uses the phrase “control the controllable” to express his beliefs. He simply states that anything that was under his control, such as his performance, should be controlled. He goes on to say that his main concern, whether at home or elsewhere, is looking at himself and trying not to repeat the mistakes. The only person I support is myself because I am confident in my ability to bat well against all bowlers.

“I was just keeping things in my mind that control the controllable. Whenever I go back home, I try to solve every problem which I faced. I go for skillful batting setup. Today I was backing myself to be in good shape against every bowler,” said Rajat Patidar.
