Arshdeep Singh, the lethal speedster wasn’t able to defend 10 runs in the last over against the mighty Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). RCB’s wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik got the better of Arshdeep Singh as his line & length was quite predictable. PBKS now are placed at 5th position on the points table with 2 points from 2 matches and an NRR (net run rate) of +0.025

Arshdeep Singh had a forgettable outing against RCB as he conceded 40 runs in his 3.2 overs, the pacer perhaps needs to use the knuckle ball and cutters to the deceive the batters at the back end of the innings. It won’t be wrong to say that KG Rabada should be used in 3 spells as he has the knack of picking wickets.

PBKS’ next assignment is against the invincible Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Lucknow on 30th March which promises to be an enthralling contest. LSG needs to find a way to tackle the spinners as playing out them can cost them the match just like how LSG made a mess against Rajasthan Royals (RR).

I have had really good conversations with Arshdeep Singh- Nathan Ellis

Nathan Ellis was having an interaction with Sportskeeda. Nathan Ellis pointed out that he has had pretty good conversations with the left arm pacer Arshdeep Singh regarding the death bowling. Nathan Ellis though stated that Arshdeep Singh keeps on moving and learning and said that Arshdeep Singh is a huge asset as a death bowler.

“I have had some really good conversations with Arshdeep Singh about death bowling. He is someone who seems good at moving on, which is such a huge asset as a death bowler. It’s just the enjoyment of life that I think I have learned the best from the Punjab setup,” said Nathan Ellis.

There are a lot of happy faces and happy people in PBKS- Nathan Ellis

Nathan Ellis made a huge statement on PBKS’ culture and said that the side is very good at accepting the good, bad and the ugly. Nathan Ellis pointed out that he didn’t expected him to play in the star studded line up. Ellis stated that his role in the team is to be a good team man and have an impact on the team.

“One thing that I have taken from Punjab is that win, lose, or draw, there are a lot of happy faces and happy people. I would say, spiritual people. They are very good at accepting the good, the bad, and the ugly and just getting on with life. And there’s no better example of that than Shikhar Dhawan,” said Nathan Ellis.

“Initially (last year) I came and expected not to play with the star-studded line-up we had overseas. So for me, it was all about being ready to go whenever the opportunity came. Thankfully I did okay and that’s the learning, being physically and mentally ready is the key,” he stated.

“I have the same sort of mindset this season. My role is to be a good team man and have some sort of an impact on the team, whether it’s on the days off, after dinner, or at training. So that’s me at the moment,” he added.
