India won the battle of spinners as Indian spinners helped India defend 213. Hard luck for Wellalage as his magical performance both with bat and ball went in vain. India won by 41 runs as once again it was the magic of Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep Yadav bowled impeccable lines & lengths and hardly gave room to the batters

Huge credit to three fast bowlers as well Bumrah and Siraj started the damage and Hardik bowled a top spell at the end. Rohit Sharma had no hesitation in deciding to bat first on a dry pitch bit different from the last two days with one change Axar Patel comes in for Shardul Thakur and Sri Lanka remains unchanged.

GOOD START FOR INDIA

Gill gets one away as he comes down the track to Rajitha and sends it over mid-off to the boundary. Fantastic shot.  After a few quiet overs, Gill broke free with this boundary

Rohit Sharma hits a maximum and what a way to bring up 10000 ODI runs. It was a full-on good length, and on the off and middle, and all Rohit did was hit it through the line over the straight boundary. Rohit Sharma became the second fastest ever to 10000 runs as the duo of Rohit and Gill completed another 50-run partnership.

Rohit made full use of the final over of the power play as he smashed his counterpart for four boundaries in the over.

DUNITH WELLALAGE AND ASALANGA  SPINS THROUGH THE INDIAN BATTING  ORDER.

Dunith Wellalage gets rid of Shubman Gill and India loses their first wicket right after the first power play Seems like Gill was surprised by the turn there. Dunith Wellalage gets a big finish he is bowling a brilliant spell here as the ball is gripping and turning as Virat Kohli is caught at mid-wicket by the skipper

INDIAN BOWLERS DID IT AGAIN

Bumrah is bowling with fire, He induces an edge off the first ball of his 2nd over. Perfect length, and a sharp catch from KL Rahul, who has to dive to grab it. Siraj bowled a maiden Dimuth Karunaratne has not managed to get runs so far as he let Siraj bowl a maiden over.

Bumrah strikes again this time He bowls a slower ball that Mendis cannot control, and the ball loops into the hands of Suryakumar Yadav! Mendis gone for 15 runs Siraj strikes and gets the important wicket of Karunaratne. It was bowled outside off and Karunaratne made the mistake of going at the wide one and the edge went to first slip. Gill takes a good catch.

Asalanka miscued the sweep but Ishan Kishan dropped it in the outfield. Jadeja suggests he should have run faster to reach the ball. Kuldeep Yadav struck twice in two overs. Sri Lanka lost their two set batters in Asalanka and Samarawickrama. It was a full ball spinning from outside off but hit the pad and bounced up and an alert KL Rahul takes a good catch diving forward. Replays show there was a glove involved and Asalanka knew it. So did the umpire.

It was a collective effort from Rohit Sharma’s brigadier as all the bowlers stood up and delivered for the team. Slowly the team is gelling and is showing signs of a champion side.
