The batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal would be eager to make a case for himself against Australia in the 5 T20I match series commencing from 23rd November at Vizag. Yashasvi Jaiswal recently made his debut across all the 3 formats of the game and is tipped to be the next big thing in World Cricket.

Surprisingly Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named the vice-captain of the side who most likely would open the batting. We should not forget that Ruturaj Gaikwad played a key role in the triumph of IPL 2023 for CSK. Ruturaj Gaikwad has shown that he can be trusted for big occasions.

Ishan Kishan’s form has been a concern as the batter hasn’t been able to make the most of a start. The left-handed batter is expected to be slotted in the middle order as he can stun the opposition with his attacking brand of cricket. It won’t be wrong to say that we will expect a high-scoring thriller as both the teams have got the firepower.

It could be a make-or-break series for Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad & Yashasvi Jaiswal- Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel. Aakash Chopra stated that Yashasvi Jaiswal should be your first-choice opener against Australia and said that the left-handed batter has done enough to be in the playing 11. Aakash Chopra pointed out that it could be a make-or-break series for the trio Ishan, Ruturaj & Yashasvi.

“The World Cup team needs to be selected, so this is an opportunity for you, and you won’t get too many chances because you don’t have 25 T20Is before the next World Cup. It’s good if you make the most of these chances, and consolidate your place, or else you will regret it,” said Aakash Chopra.

“This series is important if you see it from that angle. It’s going to be a big question who will open among the three openers – Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Yashasvi Jaiswal? It could be a make-or-break series for any of the three or all three,” he stated.

“Considering the runs Yashasvi has scored and the way he plays, you feel he should be played for sure, and that he shouldn’t be left out. However, if you don’t leave him out, will you leave Ishan Kishan out, or will you leave Ruturaj Gaikwad out?” he added.

“Ruturaj Gaikwad is the vice-captain. So you cannot leave him out. So whom will you leave out? Then Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, and Shivam Dube. That makes your batting lineup strong. If Ishan plays, Jitesh Sharma doesn’t play,” he concluded
