Rohit Sharma and Co will travel to Antigua to face Bangladesh on June 22, India will look to keep that momentum as it is an important clash from India’s point of view. If they top the table they will qualify for the final if the semis get washed out due to rain.
Rohit Sharma lauds Jasprit Bumrah
India won the match against Afghanistan there were many positives like Surya Kumar Yadav’s crucial fifty and the cameo by Hardik Pandya took India to 181 which was way ahead of expectations as the pitch was playing. While Arshdeep Singh also picked 3 wickets and dismantled Afghanistan for 134. In a post-match presentation skipper Rohit Sharma lauded Jasprit Bumrah he said:
“The last two years, we have come here and played some T20 games. We planned a little well. We adapted well to the conditions that were offered. We knew the class of our bowling lineup would defend this,” Rohit said.
“We know what Bumrah can do for us. We need to use him smartly. He is the one who is ready to take the responsibility as well. Wherever he plays, he is always ready to take the responsibility,” he added.
“I got to assess the conditions. Looking at the opposition we are ready to make any changes. We thought three spinners would be good, so we went for that. Going forward if needed, I am open to playing three seamers,” Rohit concluded.
Jasprit Bumrah has picked 10 wickets and is now the highest wicket-taker for India his contribution in this World Cup is incredible bowling continuous economical spells is not an easy thing so he is different from other bowlers and so batters do respect his bowling and sometimes even gets scared too.
