Another day, another feather in the cap of Ravindra Jadeja. Well, perhaps even a new cap, as the Indian all-rounder received his cap for making it to the ICC Test Team of the Year last year. Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently in the USA, training with the Indian Cricket Team, ahead of their campaign in the upcoming T20 World Cup, was gifted with the cap from head coach Rahul Dravid. Ravichandran Ashwin was the other Indian player to be picked in the team of the year.

In the World Cup camp, Indian coach Rahul Dravid honored Ravindra Jadeja with a special cap for being selected in the Team of the Year. Dravid, one of the greatest in red-ball cricket, gifting Jadeja this special honor was a beautiful moment to witness.

Currently training with the Indian team in the USA, Ravindra Jadeja was presented with the cap by Rahul Dravid. The all-rounder, known for his contributions with both bat and ball, shared the heartwarming moment on Instagram, captioning it “Special cap from special person #proudofmyself”.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were the only two Indians to feature in the esteemed list from India. Ravichandran Ashwin was a force to be reckoned with under the home conditions against Australia where he finished with 25 wickets in the four-match series at home. Despite not being a starter in the WTC finals against Australia, he proved his worth once again with a 10-wicket haul against the West Indies on his return and a fifty later on in the series.

Now, India will call upon the enigmatic all-rounder to help lead them to a successful campaign at the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set to take place in USA and the Caribbean. Following a heartbreaking season in the recently-concluded IPL 2024 for Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja will be coming into the marquee competition with a renewed hunger and his positive form.
