Rishabh Pant, skipper of Delhi Capitals (DC) played a crucial innings against Gujarat Titans (GT) scoring 88 runs in 43 balls. His knock kept  Delhi Capitals in the driving seat and set the target of 225. Rishabh Pant was quite fearless in his approach and was in the beast mode as he knock proved to be the difference in the end.

In response Gujarat Titans (GT) had a solid start despite losing skipper Gill’s wicket. But in the end, couldn’t finish the final hurdle and lost the match by match by 4 runs. David Miller scored a half-century but it went in vain. GT’s management would be hoping that the star batter Kane Williamson is fit as his absence is hurting the team a lot.

Sanjay Manjrekar advises to include Rishabh Pant in World Cup Squad

Former Indian player Sanjay Manjrekar says that Rishabh Pant should be included in the World Cup squad. Since Rishabh Pant has made a comeback after an injury break has shown his original style for which he is known for his attacking shots and unique shots. For any cricketer, the comeback is the most difficult phase, and getting fully fit is more difficult it takes time to recover but Rishabh Pant proved everyone wrong and within 14 months he recovered and came back on the field.

Rishabh Pant has a range of shots and can deliver it easily. In the 2021 India vs England Test Series against season campaigner James Anderson  Rishabh smashed a unique scoop shot which was later praised by James Anderson too. So Rishabh Pant is the most important player and Indian Team needs his services at any cost. This IPL will surely help to get his form back.

KL Rahul and Sanju Samson are in the race but Rishabh will be a top priority since he can generate runs easily and can score big runs by hitting boundaries. Rishabh can bat at N0.5 which is the proper position and will help to score big he is good behind the stumps as well so make sure that he should be in the squad.

Sanjay Manjrekar says:

“He’s there in my playing 11. Before today, I think we had this chat before the game as well And I said without a shadow of a doubt Rishabh Pant walks into my playing 11,”

To submit the final squads is May 1 and on 27 or 28 Rohit will be meeting the chief selector and head coach Ajit Agarkar and Rahul Dravid respectively in Delhi.
