Jofra Archer‘s career has been full of injuries and at the same time, he also has made mind boggling comebacks which makes him a pacer to watch out in the upcoming ICC T20 WC 2024. The Britain side who are the T20 defending champions would be hoping that Jofra Archer is back and roaring as the flamboyant all-rounder Ben Stokes has made it clear that he is not going to participate in the tourney.
We should not forget that England had won T20 WC 2010 in West Indies as they would back themselves to win the championship for a record 3rd time. England cricket team’s white ball head coach Matt Pott will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat as England’s performance after T20 WC 2022 hasn’t been that encouraging.
England skipper Jos Buttler would be considering opening the batting along with Phil Salt as the batter is in the form of his life. We witnessed against the recently concluded England vs West Indies T20I series as how Salt decimated Caribbean bowlers and was in the sublime touch. The likes of Jason Roy & Jonny Bairstow can solidify the middle order
Jofra Archer is bowling with exceptional pace- Paul Fabrace
Paul Fabrace was having an interaction with the Telegraph. Paul Fabrace stated that the dynamic speedster Jofra Archer is bowling exceptionally quick and said that Sussex’s bowling coach James Keysy is getting Jofra ready for T20 WC 2024. Paul Fabrace also pointed out that Jofra Archer is also batting really nicely.
“Last week in practice there was a spell where Oliver (Robinson) had bowled, Jayden bowled and then Jofra came into the middle and bowled — and he came marching out and bowled exceptionally quick,” said Paul Fabrace.
“At the moment the plan is very clear from (James) Keysy (Sussex’s bowling coach) that they’re getting him ready for the T20 World Cup. All I can say is what I have seen, he came with us to India and from what we’ve seen in pre-season so far, he’s bowling with exceptional pace, he’s batting really nicely,” he added.
