It looks unlikely that the spin duo of Kuldeep & Chahal would be reunited as there is cut-throat competition for spots in Indian team at the moment.
The pair of Kuldeep Yadav & Yuzvendra Chahal has done wonders for India- Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh was having an interaction with Times of India. Harbhajan Singh pointed out that Kuldeep Yadav & Yuzvendra Chahal are experienced players and has done wonders for the Men in Blue. Harbhajan Singh stated that Kuldeep Yadav has got his confidence back which makes him a lethal spin bowler in crunch situations of the match.
“It would be great if Kuldeep and Chahal play together. Both are experienced players. The pair has done wonders for India. Kuldeep has been very good. He has been taking wickets in every match. He has got the confidence he needs. Now he feels he is where he wanted to be,” said Harbhajan Singh.
Uphill task for India
Last time, when the T20 WC was in West Indies, it was back in 2010 and the Men in Blue had a forgettable run in that tourney who couldn’t make it to the semi finals. The pitches in Caribbean are quite unpredictable and slow which would mean that any target around 130-150 can also be competitive on the ground.
USA is also the co-host of the T20 WC 2024, if we have a look at the Major League Cricket 2023; then the pitches in USA would be high scoring ones as switching from one venue to another one will be tough for the batters. India’s high octane clash though is against their arch rivals Pakistan in New York and the surface is expected to be an even one.
